Boss file: Ultra Hyper Prototype 2/Egg Dragoon MK II
After fighting their way through Eggman's new lair, Jason and his friends find themselves in a face off against a heavily updated Egg Dragoon, and a possessed mad scientist.
BOSS NUMBER: 8
CLASS 7 HEAVILY MODIFIED EGGMAN WAR MACHINE
FIGHTERS: Jason R. Drummond(Avatar form), Selina Hardy, Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose
ARENA: Eggman's Base, Repair Bay
CONDITIONS: The fight is similar to the fight against the Egg Dragoon in Sonic Unleashed, except that the only way to attack Eggman is by shooting his cockpit with the Egg Pawn's weapons that they drop.
ATTACKS:
Drill Swipe: The Dragoon will swipe its drill across the field. Leaves him open to attacks,
Machine Guns: Eggman will open fire with several machine guns.
Lasers: The Egg Dragoon will fire lasers from the mech's right hand.
Frost Cannon: The Egg Dragoon's tail will split in two, revealing a cannon that shoots out ice projectiles that temporarily freeze whoever gets hit. Leaves him open to attacks.
Pawn Fever: Several Egg Pawns rain down upon the field, attacking with a variety of weapons that can be picked up after they're destroyed. Will explode after one minute has passed for it.
Harmful Nostalgia: The Egg Dragoon's hand will start swinging a spiked version of the checkered wrecking ball from the first Sonic game before slamming it onto the field. In Extreme Mode it creates a small shockwave and Eggman uses this attack more often.
Extreme:
Electric Drill: Eggman will electrify the Dragoon's drill and slam it on the ground, creating a giant shock wave that stuns the player for a few seconds.
Chaos Seeking Missiles: Eggman will launch a few Chaos Seeking Missiles at Jason, which need to be destroyed with projectile attacks at a distance.
Egg Shields: Two large rectangular shields appear on the Egg Dragoon's arms, which he smashes onto the platform, covering up two thirds of the arena. Leaves him open to Homing attacks afterwards.
Drill Missile: The Egg Dragoon will electrify his drill and fire it towards Jason, exploding upon hitting the ground. The Egg Dragon will replace the drill with a new one.
Sequence attack(Last bit of health only): The Egg Dragoon will fly overhead and a crosshair will lock onto Jason while its chest opens up, showing a giant nuclear laser cannon charging up. If the correct buttons aren't pressed, the laser will fire, causing an instant Gamer Over. If the buttons are correctly pressed Jason & Sonic will both Spin Dash through the Egg Dragoon's wings while Amy throws a giant hammer at the cockpit, sending it falling to the platform, destroying the mechanical W.M.D.
GRAPPLE: The Dragoon will scoop up the player with its right hand and crush them for a few seconds before throwing them onto the ground.
